He is particularly known for his pioneering use of Radiofrequency Echographic Multi-Spectrometry (REMS). As Chief Medical Officer of Hampton Bone Health Ltd and Managing Director of Osteoscan UK Ltd, Dr Birch supports the delivery of specialist REMS-based bone-health services across the United Kingdom. Under his guidance, Osteoscan UK Ltd has expanded its clinical bone health expert-led clinics across the four countries of the United Kingdom, bringing high-quality, radiation-free bone assessment into both clinical and community settings. Alison is a retired South African Registered Nurse with 44 years of experience spanning critical care, midwifery, anaesthetics, primary care and women’s health.
Alison founded Hampton Bone Health Ltd to offer a more natural approach to managing and supporting bone health. Alison is a fully certified REMS Practitioner, trained under Clinical Bone Health Expert Dr Nick Birch.
Kathy has been an invaluable member of Nick’s team for almost 20 years, serving as his personal assistant.
